Is everyone who stayed in the City okay? The storm's pretty bad out here but it doesn't seem to be anywhere near cover-the-City bad yet. Anyway, I could probably fly back to get people to the boat if they needed...I'm just not 100% sure being on the boat is a better idea than staying home.

[A minute of background noise, mostly the storm and people talking. Clearly Teddy thinks the device is off. He begins mumbling to himself but it's still audible.]

I'm on a boat, motherfuckers.

I win! By accident. Out of curiosity, are you actually on the boat in question?

No. I can't convince a certain somebody to get on it, so I'm riding it out with her.

Is there flooding yet?

Can't really tell. We're on the tenth floor and it's hard to see out the windows with all the rain. We don't have power, that I do know.

If you're that high up you should be fine. I probably wouldn't have opted in for the whole sea voyage thing except someone was looking for a partner and my boyfriend and his twin were getting on.

I'm hoping so but with the City, you never actually know.

[A clap of thunder and a distant whine of an overly neurotic dog.]

Um, I found another non-human shape-shifter who sometimes has wings.

[And wow it feels weird to Teddy to just tell someone that over the Network, but clearly he is not the only one and most people here seem to have some weird stuff going on in their lives, so he decides to go for it.]

Shape-shifter? So you're not a vampire?

[It's gotten a lot easier for Angela to just ask that right on out. Blame her being friends with Angel and Jessica and finding out that the fictional creatures of horror movies don't always have to be scary.

That said, the way she asks is still blunt as ever. Oh, Angela, never change.]
